Getting Out
I drew this freehand on the computer with a mouse. She is a runaway thinking about how to escape her life.

You have to check out my friend and fellow artist of wearable art; ADANDE. She is incredible.
“It all started in the back of my mother’s art class in the heart of Bed-stuy. (Brooklyn) There I was encouraged to explore materials and discover their possibilities.”

These one of a kind, 6 inch dolls are made out of stockings and felt. I made them after I lost my first love in 1995. They represent child like love, soul-mates. They were created for hope that I could find love so pure and innocent.
Auction will take Place on August 11, 2012.

Buy Art Not People is an initiative by artists to raise awareness and resources to combat modern slavery (aka Human Trafficking).
There are more than 27 million boys and girls, men and women currently in slavery worldwide. More than 2 million are trafficked across international borders each year by modern slave traders to meet the growing demands of modern slave holders. There are more slaves today, right now, than the total removed from Africa during 400 years of the Transatlantic slave trade.
An antique with a romantic
love story attached to it.
